As of September 15, 29 of Coyotes players were reassigned to their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates. Yesterday, Portland announced their training camp schedule is set to begin on September 29.

From September 30 up until October 11 all practice sessions will be available for public viewing. If anyone is in the area of Portland, Maine I highly suggest checking out some scrimmages and preseason games.

On October 7 the Pirates will be taking on the Manchester Monarchs for their first pre-season game. When admission tickets are only ten dollars (and getting to watch future Yotes in action) I’d definitely check that out!

The team has a countdown on their homepage that is whittling away at the days until the season home opener. This first game will mark 20 years that the Pirates have been part of the league. As of right now the team has 24 days and two hours until the game.

While I am crying into my soup missing hockey, I wish all the best to the Pirates organization during their 20 year Anniversary as well as the Coyotes that have been reassigned there!
