Denver is a Broncos town, no question about it. This often leaves Avalanche fans feeling snubbed by residents, sports talk anchors, and, well, everyone. But on our worst day we haven’t had to worry about voters rejecting a referendum to build a new stadium.

Since today is not our worst day but rather another Tuesday several weeks out from the start of hockey season, I suggest we all count our blessings and return to a simpler time. Anyone ever play “that cloud looks like…” as a kid? I didn’t play it often because I preferred to read books or play Davy Crockett in the backyard with my brothers, but every once in a while a cloud jumped out and begged to be labeled.
