Avs Afternoon Delight – Kings Preview

Sky rockets in flight and such.

My (other) boys are back in town! The L.A. Kings (6-2-3) take on the Colorado Avalanche (6-4-0) at the Pepsi Center tonight at 6 pm. The Kings dominated the Avs at home during the preseason, and quite frankly everyone has dominated the Avs at home during the regular season. Honestly, it feels like it would take a miracle for the Avs to win this game.

Good thing I believe in miracles.

The Exes:

  • Brad Richardson played three full seasons with the Avs before being traded to the Kings in 2008 for a second round draft pick. His career as a center has had some ups and downs, but he is an incredibly solid player that could definitely damage the Avs tonight.

It Would Make My Night If:

  • Jack Johnson laid a huge hit on someone, leading to retaliation by the Avs. I love seeing JMFJ hit…and I love watching the Avs stand up for each other.
  • No one hits Landeskog in the head. Seriously, people.
  • THE AVS FREAKING WIN A GAME AT HOME!!!!!

My Predictions:
During a very physical and hotly contested game, the Avs find their scoring touch and beat the Kings 4 – 3 for their first home win of the season.

Why not have some faith in miracles?
