I’m going to go out on a limb and make a huge generalization here.
Hockey fans just can not WAIT for October to get here. Like marking off the days until the first game kind of can’t wait. I know I’m looking forward to the fall months again.
But whether you can’t wait for that crisp air and a hockey game every other night or you are enjoying the wonderfully stupendous hot and humid summer weather, we are all keeping one eye on what that fall schedule will look like.
And the Predators have officially cleared up any mystery about what the next season of hockey will bring. Well, at least the mystery of what nights we have to TiVo our favorite shows while we enjoy the game. With the preseason schedule released earlier today, we can now rest easy!
So what will the preseason bring? Well, it will certainly start with a bang!
The Preds will start of with a double header at Florida on September 24th, with the first game slated to begin at 1pm EST and the following game at 6:30pm EST. Following this day of massive muscle soreness will be both home and away games against St Louis and Carolina and will finish at Washington October the 5th.
Talk about a busy twelve days!
In the mean time, the Predators development camp is currently underway at Centennial Sportsplex. Many of this year’s draft picks are attending as well as many of the draftees from the past few years. Here’s wishing all the skaters luck with their training!
And last of our news for today, it has come to my attention that Nashville brought home a very important though quite underrated award while in Pittsburgh for the draft. The top teams in the west and the east were chosen for their excellence in their respective public relations departments. So a round of applause for the Predators and the Flyers for their good job in working with the media!
As always during the off season, be sure to check in for any news of trades and contract signings, and may the best players for Nashville be signed!
