Weber will spend the next 14 years in Nashville

In what will likely go down as the largest contract in franchise history, the Nashville Predators announced that they have matched the Flyers offer for Shea Weber.

Having already spent seven seasons in Nashville, Weber will remain a Predator for the next fourteen years at a worth of $110 million over that course of time. This contract locks up a player who is without doubt a huge fan favorite and a crucial piece of what is highly touted as a Stanley Cup team.

The Predators management will further discuss this landmark contract Wednesday at 1 pm central time in a press conference at Bridgestone Arena.
