Despite the looming lockout in the NHL, Nashville has released a statement that they have signed one of the newest members to the organization as well as a returning youngin’.
I now present to you, Colton Sissions, the Predators second round pick in this year’s entry draft. The Vancouver native signed a three year entry level contract with the Preds, but will continue to play with the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets this coming season. This will be his second season as captain with the Rockets.
Who knows, maybe in the next couple of seasons we will see Sission hit the AHL circuit!
As for our resigned player, Jon Blum’s new contract was the last of the off season moves to be completed, according to Nashville analysts. Blum played 33 games last season with the Preds, as well as 48 games with Milwaukee. He will have the chance to improve on this number over the next three seasons laid out in his new contract.
Now let’s just avoid a lockout so Blum can take another shot at being in the big leagues!
