Happy Thanksgiving, Cubs Fans

baseball turkey

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for each and every one of you.

I’m thankful for those of you who come here an comment, day in, day out, no matter how terrible the Cubs are or how depressed you feel.

I’m thankful that, when the Cubs are bad, they’re SO bad that we still have something to talk about.

I’m thankful for those you who read but don’t comment. I know you’re out there.

I’m thankful for the trolls, who, over the years, have made my skin a little bit thicker.

I’m thankful for Mark and Carl, without whom this site would not exist.

I’m thankful for those of you who have been with me since LOHO began in 2007. It’s been a long, strange road.

Most of all, I’m thankful all the amazing online friends who turned into off-line, lifelong friends thanks to my little baseball blog.

Happy Thanksgiving and Go Cubs.

Totally off-topic here. I’m just mystified as to why there is nobody blogging the Blackhawks on Aerys.
First, the team is the defending Stanley Cup champs. Second, the team is very popular with women. You watch the game on TV or attend in person and there are tons of women at the games. Even if they only go because they have a crush on Kaner, you’d think someone would want to write about the team.

There have been many women from the Chicago area who have played on the national and Olympic teams so there should be a pool of hockey experts available for the position. Wouldn’t it be great to have an insider’s view of the game? It just so dismays me that nobody is covering the Hawks here.

We had Kat Velez here for two years. It’s not like there was never anyone.
