It was a big day for swimmer Michael Phelps yesterday. He became the most decorated Olympian in history with 19 medals.

The swimming events are far from over. Here are you early morning swimming results.

Women’s 100 M Freestyle

Missy Franklin and Jessica Hardy both qualified for the semifinals later today. Both will have to post much better times to qualify for the medal round tomorrow.

Men’s 200 M Backstroke

Both Tyler Clary and Ryan Lochte qualified for the semifinals which are later today.

Women’s 200 M Breaststroke

Rebecca Soni and Micah Lawrence both qualified for the semifinals later today.

Women’s 4×200 M Freestyle Relay

The American team qualified for the medal round. We will see those finals later this afternoon.
