Saturday Evening Swimming Results

Michael Phelps went out in fine fashion if this was indeed his last Olympics.

Phelps won gold in the Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay along with relay mates Matt Grevers, Brendan Hansen and Nathan Adrian.

Lots of Gold for Team USA Swimmers Friday Night

Team USA Swimmers won gold in 3 out of the 4 events they participated in last night.

Missy FranklinWomen’s 200 M Backstroke

Missy Franklin took gold and Elizabeth Beisel took bronze in this event. Franklin set a world record with a time of 2:04.06.

Michael PhelpsMen’s 100 M Butterfly

Michael Phelps wins gold in this race. The is Michael Phelps 20th medal and he is the most decorated Olympian in history.

Katie Ledecky

Women’s 800 M Freestyle

15 year old Katie Ledecky won gold in this race and set an American record, breaking Janet Evan’s 23 year-old record.

Cullen Jones

Men’s 50 M Freestyle

Cullen Jones took silver in this race. He also has another silver medal from the men’s 4×100 m freestyle relay.

Thursday Morning Swimming Results

In case you missed it, Nathan Adrian won gold in the men’s 100m freestyle event Wednesday evening. The women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team, Missy Franklin, Dana Vollmer, Shannon Vreeland, and Allison Schmitt, also won gold last night.

Now for the early morning qualifiers.

Men’s 50 M Freestyle

Cullen Jones and Anthony Ervin both qualified for the semifinals which will take plance later today.

Women’s 800 M Freestyle

Katie Ledecky is the only Team USA member to qualify for this event. Kate Ziegler finished 21.

Men’s 100 M Butterfly

Michael Phelps and Tyler McGill both qualified for this event. The semifinal is later today.

Women’s 200 M Backstroke

Missy Franklin and Elizabeth Biesel both move on to the semifinals later today.

Wednesday Evening Swimming Results

Nathan Adrian

Team USA’s Nathan Adrian won gold in the men’s 100m freestyle event Wednesday evening. Adrian won with a time of 47:52. The silver medal was awarded to Australian James Magnussen. He had a time of 47:53. Bronze was awarded to Canadian Brent Hayden. He had a time of 47:80.

Team USA also won gold in the women’s 4X200m Freestyle Relay. The relay team consisted of Missy Franklin, Dana Vollmer, Shannon Vreeland and Allison Schmitt. The ladies set an Olympic record with a time of 7:42:92.

Wednesday Morning Swimming Results

It was a big day for swimmer Michael Phelps yesterday. He became the most decorated Olympian in history with 19 medals.

The swimming events are far from over. Here are you early morning swimming results.

Women’s 100 M Freestyle

Missy Franklin and Jessica Hardy both qualified for the semifinals later today. Both will have to post much better times to qualify for the medal round tomorrow.

Early Morning Swimming Results- Monday Edition

Yes, we have a few early morning swimming results today. There will be a lot more swimming this afternoon including many medal races.

Women’s 200 M Freestyle

Allison Schmitt and Missy Franklin both qualified to move onto the finals in this event. The semifinals will take place later this afternoon.

Men’s 200 M Butterfly

Tyler Clary and Michael Phelps both qualified for this event. The semifinals will be this afternoon.

Women’s 200 M Individual Medley

Caitlin Leverenz and Ariana Kukors both move onto the semifinals in this event which will take place later today.

Early Morning Swimming Results- Sunday Edition

Here we are at day two of the Olympic games. We had lots of early morning swimming heats. Here are the results.

Women’s 100 M Backstroke

Missy Franklin and Rachel Bootsma both qualified to move onto the semifinals. This is the second race for Franklin after she was part of the silver medal relay team that swam yesterday. The semifinals will be later today with the finals taking place tomorrow.
