Sunday Evening Swimming Results

Dana Vollmer set a world record and won gold in the Women’s 100m Butterfly Sunday evening.

Vollmer set a world record of 55.98 to win gold.

Men’s 200M Freestyle

Ryan Lochte qualified for the final in the men’s 200M freestyle with a time of 1:46:31. The final takes place tomorrow.

 

 

Women’s 100m Breaststroke

Rebecca Soni and Breeja Larson qualified for Monday’s final in the 100m Breaststroke.

Men’s 100m Breaststroke

South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh set a world record to take gold in the 100m breaststroke final Sunday. Van der Burgh earned gold with a time of 58:46. USA’s Brendan Hanson earned the bronze with a time of 59:49.

 

Women’s 400m Freestyle

Allison Schmitt earned a silver medal with a time of 4:01:77, setting an American record, in the women’s 400m freestyle. France’s Camille Muffat set an Olympic Record with her gold medal performance of 4:01:45.

Men’s 100m Backstroke

Matthew Grevers and Nick Thoman qualified for the Men’s 100m backstroke final Monday.

 

Women’s 100m Backstroke

Team USA’s Missy Franklin qualified for the women’s 100m backstroke final on Monday.

Men’s 4X100m Freestyle

Team USA’s 4X100m Freestyle, consisting of Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones, earned silver medal honors. France earned gold.
