Kyle Quincey really loves Colorado. The defenseman has been here, skating with the Avs players who happen to be in town, for a few weeks. Today, he signed a contract with the Denver Cutthroats. I’m assuming he will make the team, despite the fact the team has yet to make cuts. (Because really, and NHL defenseman of Quincey’s caliber, with his experience, is sure to give the Cutthroats an advantage whenever he is on the ice.) It is also assumed that both Kent Patterson and Kieran Millan, Avalanche prospects, will be the goalies for the team.
Despite some unflattering comments Quincey made after his trade to Detroit, I still really like the player, and look forward to seeing a familiar player on the ice in Denver.
The Cutthroats season starts on the 19th in the Denver Coliseum. If you have yet to get tickets (coughmecough), it would be best to hurry, as there are no tickets left in the upper bowl via Ticketmaster.
