According to the Eurolanche (who claim they got this information from O’Reilly’s agent), Ryan O’Reilly has signed a lockout contract with Metallurg Magnitogorsk. This is the team that both Evgeni Malkin and O’Reilly’s brother play for.  Assuming this is accurate information, I’m not too surprised. A young player like O’Reilly can only be asked to sit for so long. Seeing as the negotiations hit another stalling point today, it’s a smart move to find a team to play for season this season/\.
