Lake Erie Monsters Training Camp opened at a high tempo and seems to be the way head coach Chynoweth likes to keep his players. The 36 man roster was split into two groups. One being anchored by Goaltenders Kieran Millan and Sami Aittokallio and the second group by Kent Patterson and Calvin Pickard. The second group saw a little bit of a shake up after a shot broke one of the end glass sections and forced them to the other practice rink. Both groups were skating well and I would not want to be making the decision on which goaltenders make the team out of camp. All four today had good showings. Of course this is just day one but there is a lot of young talent that will be making an impact early.
