It appears the Ryan O’Reilly saga will be over one way or another soon. The Calgary Flames have made an offer sheet to Ryan O’Reilly. According to Darren Dreger, the offer sheet is for two years, and $10 million. The Avs have seven days to match the offer, or they can take Calgary’s first and third round picks in this year’s draft. I think they’re morons if they don’t take O’Reilly and decide to opt for unproven prospects as ROR helps the Flames make the playoffs-but of course, it’s not about what I think. So Avs fans, let’s all get together and cry about how we used to have a respectable franchise.
