Dodgers Can’t Be Tamed, Beat Diamondbacks 4-1

Elian Herrera hit his first Major League home run and Scott Van Slyke hit his second as the Dodgers sent the Diamondbacks to their sixth straight loss.

Nathan Eovaldi was solid through six innings, allowing one earned run on five hits, three walks and three strikeouts.

In his first game back from the disabled list, Mark Ellis went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a run scored.

The Dodgers started the game off with a Mark Ellis double, Jerry Hairston Jr. single, Juan Rivera double and Luis Cruz single.

Wade Miley took the loss for the Diamondbacks as the two runs allowed in the first inning proved to be enough. Miley finished the night with four runs allowed over 6 2/3 innings, two walks and four strikeouts.

Kenley Jansen finished the game by striking out the side using only 11 pitches, good for his 15th save of the season.

Ronald Belisario pitched a scoreless eighth inning, lowering his 2012 ERA to 0.95 over 28 1/3 innings.
