This week’s episode of The Franchise was pretty sad, yet happy in a few ways. This Marlins team has quite a few characters as we know it, starting with manager, Ozzie Guillen and outfielder, Logan Morrison.
The episode opened with top Marlins front office members, including owner Jeffrey Loria and general manager, Larry Beinfest, in a round table meeting discussing the progress of the team so far, as well as the future. It is really interesting to see what these guys have to say about the current state of the team. However, that is not what stood out to me this episode.
The Marlins suffered a heartbreaking loss Tuesday at Milwaukee. They were down 9-2 and caught up to tie the game 11-11. In the 10th inning, Jose Reyes homered, making the score 12-11.
Then comes Heath Bell to close the game for the Fish. He strikes out Ryan Braun to face Aramis Ramirez, who homers and wins the game for the Brewers 13-12. Epic fail.
Ozzie Guillen gave the media a huge rant in the clubhouse. It went something like not putting all the blame on Bell, because of the other 10 runs scored. While I sort of agree with him, I do think however, you still have to close out the game. Enough said.
Did anyone else find hilarious what Joe Capozzi tweeted out about Ozzie Guillen? Not sure what I am talking about? Well…
Ozzie and his totally random blabbering make my day. I love Bed, Bath, and Beyond also. I got some stuff for my bathroom there once. Yea. But my happy place is Target. I wonder what Ozzie thinks about that.
Pitchers and catchers report to spring training and our new third baseman, Hanley Ramirez, does as well. Ramirez was seen working out at third base. It’s very nice to see that he’s not being a brat about the move for Jose Reyes anymore.
Here you can see Hanley take some ground balls at 3B and talking about third base.
Did you see what Marlins skipper, Ozzie Guillen, tweeted out on Thursday? It had me cracking up. I sometimes feel bad for him, but I can’t help but laugh when Ozzie tweets something as funny as this.
Looks like Hanley Ramirez is a Disney fan! Check out his cleats!
What do you get when you mix two favorite things of mine, Disney and the Miami Marlins? Hanley Ramirez visiting Walt Disney World! HanRam was interviewed on video by Disney Sports, which was tweeted out earlier today. Check out what Hanley had to say about his new teammates and new team colors.

This has to be the funniest thing I have seen in awhile. Aerys’ own, Stephanie Diorio, drew this for me. She even used actual tweets from Logan Morrison and Ozzie Guillen. Isn’t this adorable?
