El Caballo Is Here!

The Marlins traded Matt Dominguez and Rob Rasmussen for Carlos “El Caballo” Lee from the Houston Astros on a sunny Fourth of July. Regardless of hitting a home run on Wednesday, Gaby Sanchez was sent to AAA in New Orleans.

Giancarlo Has An Ouchie

No worries, Marlins fans, our All Star, Giancarlo Stanton,  may be a little hurt, but he is still planning on making the Home Run Derby and All Star Game. He had an MRI done on his right knee, which showed he has “loose bodies”.

He took batting practice on Thursday at Milwaukee, so that is good news. However, the bad news is that we will know Friday whether he needs surgery or not. If he does, he may need surgery during the All Star break. Let’s hope we are able to see Giancarlo crush some baseballs in the derby.
