After a successful weekend in Eugene, Ore. for the NCAA West Regional, 12 members of Iowa’s track and field team will head to the final round of the NCAA Championships close to home in Des Moines, Iowa.
The finals will be held June 8-11.
Larry Wieczorek, Iowa’s head coach and the Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year, commented about this weekend’s results by saying:
“Overall, we advanced a really good group of people to the NCAA Championships,” said head coachÂ Larry Wieczorek.Â Justin Austin showed a lot of guts finishing in the top 12 of the 200, andÂ Ethan Holmes had one of the best meets of a track athlete that I’ve seen in a long time.
