Duke’s Parker named to Oscar Robertson Trophy watch list

Duke men’s basketball freshman Jabari Parker has yet to play a collegiate game, but is already reaping the awards of being a prospect (he was named to a few preseason All-American lists). He was one of 15 players named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy¬†watch list on Tuesday. He is one of four freshmen on the list.

logo_oscarCJ Fair of Syracuse and Joe Harris of Virginia are the other players from ACC schools on the list.

The other 12 players on the list include: Jahii Carson (Arizona State), Aaron Craft (Ohio State), Aaron Gordon (Arizona), Gary Harris and Adreian Payne (Michigan State), Doug McDermott (Creighton), Mitch McGary (Michigan), Shabazz Napier (UConn), Julius Randle (Kentucky), Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State), Russ Smith (Louisville), and Andrew Wiggins (Kansas).

 

Parker will make his regular season debut on Friday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium (and on ESPNU at 7pm ET) against Davidson.
