Duke men’s soccer squeaks into ACC Tourney

With their win over Clemson on Friday, the Duke men’s soccer team just qualified for the upcoming ACC Tournament. The Blue Devils claimed the seventh seed and will play the second seed Notre Dame on Tuesday. The Irish are the number one ranked men’s soccer team in the country and will be the host.

The Blue Devils ran their unbeaten streak to eight games and have not allowed a goal in 194:26.

In the 1-0 victory over Clemson, redshirt senior Tomas Coulter scored his first career goal in the 78th minute.

Duke goalie Alex Long finished with four saves in his seventh shutout of the season.  Both teams finished with 11 shots and the Tigers finished with a 6-3 advantage on corner kicks.
