Duke football still ranked in final standings

Despite losing their final two games of the 2013 season (the ACC Championship and the Chick-Fil-A Bowl), the Duke football team remains ranked in the final top 25 standings. It is the first time they are ranked at the end of the season since 1962. The year of firsts just keeps on coming.

The Blue Devils end their 10-4 season ranked number 23 in the AP Poll and number 22 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Their opponent in the ACC Championship, Florida State, came back to beat number two Auburn last night in the BCS National Championship. In the final BCS standings, Duke was number 24.
