Royals Release Promo Schedule

Last week, the KC Royals released their promotional schedule.

Here are some of the highlights:

 

Billy Butler begins the four bobblehead giveaways for the Royals. On May 4th (versus the Chicago White Sox), the first 10,000 fans will receive a Billy Butler Silver Slugger bobblehead.

Next is the condiment bobblehead series, where the first 10,000 fans will receive a bobblehead of one of the characters from the Hot Dog Derby Race. On May 25th (versus the LA Angels), fans will receive Ketchup. On June 22nd (versus the White Sox), fans will receive Mustard. On July 20th (versus Detroit), fans will receive Relish. All three giveaway dates are Saturdays.

The Royals will be giving out Pashmina Scarves for Mother’s Day, May 12th to the first 10,000 women.

Girls Night Out will be Friday, June 7th (versus Houston). Come to the Outfield Experience before the game to receive the “Royal” treatment with various booths, activities, and events catered for women of all ages.  The event benefits the American Heart Association.  In addition, the first 10,000 females through the gates will receive a special gift presented by KC Chevy Dealers.

Saturday, June 8th is Retro Night versus their new American League foe Houston. The first 10,000 fans will receive a retro powder blue jersey.

On July 3rd (versus Cleveland), the Royals will be giving out Stars and Stripes hats to the first 10,000 fans.

The 3rd annual Big Slick Celebrity Classic Game will be held on Friday, July 19th prior to the Tigers game. Hometown celebrities Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle, and Jason Sudeikis will host the event at the Little K.

KidsFest is Sunday, July 21st (versus Detroit). The first 5,000 kids 14 and under receive a Sluggerrr Bank. There will be pregame activities, entertainment, and more in the Outfield Experience.

They will “Salute the Negro Leagues” on August 24th when the Washington Nationals visit. The Royals will wear the Monarchs jerseys (presented by Sprint) and the Nats will don the Homestead Grays unis. The first 10,000 fans will receive a vintage Monarchs t-shirt.

Fireworks will be held on select Fridays.

Fan Appreciation Night will be held on Saturday, September 21st (versus Texas). The first 10,000 people will receive a Royals blanket and there will be prizes given away throughout the game.

Returning this season (for probably the last year) is the Frenchy Quarter. The personal cheering section for right fielder Jeff Francoeur is every Thursday home game (excluding May 2) when fans will be able to purchase a $21 ticket that includes a new Frenchy Quarter T-Shirt, blue Mardi Gras beads, and a seat in the right field outfield box.

Also back is T-shirt Tuesdays. There will be six unique designs that will be given out on May 28, June 4, June 25, July 23, August 13 (fan vote), and September 17.
