It has been a quiet offseason so far for the Kansas City Royals. They have named their new bullpen coach (Triple-A pitching coach Doug Henry), but are still looking for a new hitting coach. Who will that be? It hasn’t been decided yet, but it was announced that they were looking from within at one of their minor league coaches.
The Royals are expected to spend money and/or make a big splash in terms of deals during this offseason. But haven’t we heard that before?

Last offseason, the Royals made a BIG move in the broadcast booth by cutting ties with Hall of Famer Frank White. That move didn’t go over really well with fans. But fans decided to give newbie (and former big leaguer) Rex Hudler a chance.
How did he do? Well…Rant Sports believes that they need to make another change in the broadcast booth.
Though it will be tough to entice a big name to come to Kansas City and play for the lowly Royals, one young player was eager to sign with them after being drafted this June. Read more about 25th round pick Matt Tenuta, who was the Arizona Rookie League’s Pitcher of the Year.
The Louisville Slugger Museum currently has an exhibit running through January 13th titled “Baseball Hotties: Studs We Love”. You can go VOTE on the next player to be inducted into the Baseball Hotties Hall of Fame. Former Royals great George Brett is on the list. So go vote for him and put him into yet another Hall of Fame.
