Right winger Colby Armstrong, who struggled to find a spot on the Leafs’ roster this season and dealt with injury, has reportedly been bought out by the team just one day before the NHL’s free agency is set to begin.Armstrong played just 29 games this past season with Toronto, scoring one goal and 2 assists in his second season with the team.
Prior to that, he had been a member of the Atlanta Thrashers organization for parts of the three previous seasons after being traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The 29-year-old Saskatchewan native had one year left on his contract with Toronto.
