Flashback Friday: Peyton Manning Hosts SNL

Eli Manning may have one more Super Bowl ring than big brother Peyton, but Peyton has the edge when it comes to hosting ‘Saturday Night Live.’

At least for another, say, 27.5 hours or so…

Eli hosts SNL tomorrow, so I figured we might as well reflect on the performance laid down by Peyton five years ago.  Two words: United Way.

And here’s another for good measure…

Now that really puts me in a better place.

Tim Tebow’s Saturday Night Plans?

Maybe one 4:00 sketch just wasn’t enough for Saturday Night Live.   Rumor has it SNL wants the real deal.

Hollywood Life reports an SNL insider says the show is interested in Tim Tebow hosting an upcoming episode.  While there isn’t a target date, it would obviously be after the Broncos season but soon enough to capitalize on Tebow’s enormous popularity.

In last week’s episode, SNF aired a sketch featuring Tebow (Taran Killam) and Jesus (Jason Sudeikis) following the Broncos’ comeback win against Chicago in Week 14.

If Tebow does host SNL, he can always take lessons from Peyton Manning:

And Tom Brady

Knowing Tebow’s ‘Golly’-laced vocabulary, SNL’s writers could have their work cut out for them.

SNL Visits Tebowmania

You know Tebowmania has hit the big time when it gets a nod from Saturday Night Live.

Last night’s video spoof includes Tim Tebow and teammates celebrating in the Broncos’ locker room following Week 14′s comeback win against Chicago.  As is Tebow thanking his teammates, a “special Broncos fan” comes down for a visit, and gives credit to…kicker Matt Prater.

Tebow is expectedly giddy to point where Jesus (played by Jason Sudeikis) requests that he takes “it down a notch.”

If you’re like me and were fast asleep when this aired, here’s SNL’s 4:00 of Broncos bliss:
