The Tebow Has Landed

So at this point anyone who writes about the NFL has essentially been relegated to TMZ star-gazing status.  The labor dispute has wiped out all the tasty news morsels of transactions, roster arranging, and injury watches and replaced them with, “guess who we spotted in sweats.”

Since that’s the way it is right now, the latest credible player sighting at Brian Dawkins’ 2% Body Fat Camp is big news. The Denver Post reports quarterback Tim Tebow was among the players who gathered to workout today.  The Post reports Tebow showed up an hour early at the South Suburban Sports Dome and fired passes to receiver Britt Davis and tight end Dan Gronkowski.

Tebow also reportedly spent about 15 minutes taking snaps from center J.D. Walton.  The young quarterback has said his off-season training is emphasizing taking snaps from under center…something he rarely did in college.

One of the things Tebow wasn’t able to do at today’s workout was spend time with Kyle Orton.  Orton didn’t make it to the training session, but attended last week’s sessions while Tebow was on the promotional circuit.
