Marriott, Peyton Manning, the former face of the Indianapolis Colts, addressed the local media for the first time since signing with the Denver Broncos as a free agent.  Read more from Indianapolis Star >>>>

Peyton Manning: Denver Broncos Quarterback’s Funniest Plays off the Field - The recently acquired, future Hall of Fame quarterback, Peyton Manning is not only one of the best quarterbacks to play the game. He’s also hilarious!  When the Denver Broncos signed him at the start of the offseason they weren’t just getting an awesome quarterback, but also someone who could make teammates roll on the floor laughing.  Let’s take a look back through memory lane at some of his funniest moments off the field.  Read more from Bleacher Report >>>>

Jerry Franklin to Denver Broncos: Video Highlights, Scouting Report and Analysis - When thinking about inside linebackers, Jerry Franklin isn’t the first one that comes to mind. He played for a big program at Arkansas that was known more for their high-powered aerial offense than their defense. Franklin signed as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos April 28.  Read more from Bleacher Report >>>>

John Elway for Manager of the Year - While fans of former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will likely vehemently disagree, I’d have to put John Elway, Broncos executive VP of football operations, in the running for manager of the year. And not just NFL manager of the year … anybody’s manager of the year.  Read more from Business Management Daily >>>>

Analyzing Broncos’ Home Field Advantage - Many say that Mile High has lost it’s magic. What I mean is that the Broncos’ home field advantage isn’t what it used to be. According to the NFL Network’s “top-10 home field advantages of all time,” Mile High Stadium ranks second on that list.  From 1960-2000, no team wanted to come to Denver and deal with the deadly combination of high altitude and rowdy fans.  Read more from Predominantly Orange >>>>

Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Friday Edition)

A&M’s Cyrus Gray a good fit for West Coast offenses - Today’s question about the Broncos comes from Bobby Jones in Texas: Q: We all know the Broncos need to draft defensive tackles, but I really believe they need to draft a running back to contribute early. I’ve seen a lot of Texas A&M games, and Cyrus Gray looks to be a sleeper, in my opinion — good speed, vision and hardworking. Could the Broncos go this way?  Read more from the Denver Post >>>>

Denver Broncos: 3 Things That Broncos Fans Need to Know About Peyton Manning - Denver fans have been rejoicing since the day they got Manning, and they should be since he is an elite QB. Say what you will but QBs generally come back from injuries better than any position. Consider the shoulder injury Drew Brees had, the knee injury that Brady had, or the concussion issues that Rogers and Vick have recently had. For whatever reason, the QB seems to recover very well if given the proper time.  Read more from Bleacher Report >>>>

2012 NFL Draft: Top 5 Running Backs to Complement Denver Broncos’ Willis McGahee - Denver Broncos’ Willis McGahee had a monster year in 2011. A change of scenery and a wild read-option, college-style approach behind Tim Tebow both opened up the door for McGahee to have a huge year.  Even at over 30 years old, McGahee dazzled as the primary running back all season. However, McGahee can’t be the only RB in the backfield in the NFL era of mixing and matching running backs, short yardage backs and speedy, shifty running backs all alternating on offense throughout the season.  Read more from Bleacher Report >>>>

Von Miller sad Tim Tebow is gone, eager for Peyton Manning era - After a rookie year that featured a lockout, a surprise playoff run and an endless supply of Tim Tebow coverage, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller expected a relatively quiet offseason.  But the spotlight never strayed from the Broncos, as the team signed four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning, then traded Tebow to the New York Jets in two of the year’s most heavily discussed transactions.  Read more from NFL.com >>>>

Peyton Manning calls to say thanks - I was on my cell talking to a media colleague long distance when another call came in this afternoon. The number was blocked. With so many calls out on several stories, who could this be? “Hi Phil, it’s Peyton Manning,” he said.  Read more from Indianapolis Star >>>>

Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Tuesday Edition)

For Peyton Manning, an intense work ethic, selfless acts define him as QB - As Denver morphs from Tebow Mania to Manning Mania, be prepared for a seismic shift of heart-stirring proportions. As Peyton Manning brings his Super Bowl title ring and 54,828 passing yards to town, the mania that accompanies the NFL’s only four-time MVP won’t be just fourth-quarter comebacks and favorite status in the AFC West.  Read more from The Denver Post >>>>

Broncos fans favor Manning but some want Tebow instead – Mike Canino presented some convincing numbers for his elation upon hearing Peyton Manning was coming to Denver to quarterback the Broncos. The Denver resident went right to the heart of the matter when asked his opinion of the big news Monday.  Read more from The Denver Post >>>>

Kiszla: Getting Peyton Manning in Denver big coup for John Elway, Pat Bowlen - He said yes. John Elway got his Manning.  The Broncos are again more about football than circus.  Peyton Manning picked the Mile High City over the big-time talent in San Francisco and longtime family ties to Tennessee, deciding Monday to work out the details of contract expected to be worth more than $90 million with Denver.  Read more from The Denver Post >>>>

Kravitz: Peyton Manning makes wise choice, even if it doesn’t seem right - It just seems surreal, doesn’t it? Maybe you saw the Photoshopped picture of Peyton Manning on the front cover of espn.com. Weird, unsettling … wrong somehow.  It was one thing to go through the entire divorce. But to now see the football love of our lives taking up with another team, wearing the navy-and-orange of the Broncos, remarried to John Elway?  Read more from Indianapolis Star >>>>

If the Broncos won with Manning, who lost? Here’s who - With Peyton Manning joining Denver, the Broncos become the popular choice to win the AFC West again, and Tim Tebow becomes the popular choice to lose his roster spot.  But that’s how it goes.  Manning’s decision has an immediate effect on more than just the Broncos, Tim Tebow and the AFC West. It has an impact on those he left at the altar, and it’s time to start counting the collateral damage. While Denver won the most important free agent on the market, others lost … and more than just missing out on Manning.  Read more from CBS Sports >>>>

Peyton Manning to Denver: Smart choice? - The drama is over. In a move that surprised many football insiders, Peyton Manninghas picked the Broncos over the Titans and 49ers as his next team. But did the coveted free agent quarterback make the right call?  Read more from CBS News >>>>

Peyton Manning must reward Broncos by winning - John Elway, the Denver Broncos’ Hall of Fame quarterback-turned-executive, and John Fox, their charismatic coach, turned into master recruiters of Peyton Manning.  They offered lengthy visits to the facility. They had friendly meals. On demand they scrambled the team jet for a private workout, physical and further opportunity to preach the virtues of a Rocky Mountain autumn.  Denver did everything it could to sell Peyton Manning on what it could do for him.  Read more from Yahoo! Sports >>>>

Tim Tebow must make way for Peyton Manning on the Broncos, but he’ll be heard from again - There was no way John Elway was going to commit to Tim Tebow. That should have been clear all those afternoons during the Denver Broncos’ run to the AFC West title when the fans roared, Tebow put his fist on his forehead and the team president scowled.  The signs were there, screaming loudly, when coach John Fox was given chance after chance to declare Tebow the team’s quarterback next season, yet refused each time. Even Elway’s tepid enthusiasm at season’s end – seen as an endorsement – was actually anything but.  Read more from Yahoo! Sports >>>>

Peyton Manning: Why did he choose the Denver Broncos?  - After leaving the Indianapolis Colts this month, Peyton Manning literally had his pick of at least a half dozen teams and probably more. News reports Monday suggest he has chosen the Denver Broncos and that a deal is likely to be struck soon.   Read more from Christian Science Monitor >>>>

Peyton Manning Is A Bronco, Tim Tebow Is A Trade Away, And It’s All Perfect - If a media orgy was going to inflate someone’s value well past the point of logic and waterboard us all with non-news round-the-clock for a solid six weeks, it’s only appropriate that it all comes back to Tim Tebow somehow. So yes, Peyton Manning on the Denver Broncos is pretty perfect. For so many reasons.  Read more from SB Nation >>>>

Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Monday Edition)

The 2011 NFL season is officially in the books.

The 2012 regular season is just about seven months away.  So there’s that.

But don’t worry; DHF is keeping busy this offseason because we have much to discuss.  Don’t believe me?  Shame, but here you go.

Joe Namath, Archie Manning appreciate Tebow’s popularity - It’s not true, at least not without debate, to say there’s never been a player who captivated the NFL audience like Tim Tebow.  Until Tebowmania this season, the biggest star the NFL had was the New York Jets’ Joe Namath.  Read more from The Denver Post >>>>

Kickin’ it: Peyton Manning with Broncos would be a super idea - Manning as mentor.  I truly think Peyton Manning would be a great option for a team like the Broncos, who have a young quarterback lacking experience. I love the idea of sitting Tim Tebow behind a legend and have him grow under Manning. I’m salivating just thinking about it. I hope the Broncos at least entertain the idea. If they don’t, I will definitely lose respect for the team.  Read more from The Denver Post >>>>

Denver Broncos GM Brian Xanders: Team will “Absolutely” build around Tim Tebow - Broncos’ GM Brian Xanders—the least known member of EFX, or Elway Fox Xanders—spoke on ESPN’s 102.3 FM Friday and talked all about the team.  Read more from Examiner >>>>

Denver Bronco Super Bowl History - By my calculations, ESPN, The NFL Network, and NBC are scheduled for approximately 18 hours of pregame coverage of Super Bowl XLVI.   You can either tune into these programs to find out the latest team news regarding injuries, final game day preparations, pre-game meals, Saturday night bed checks, team bus arrival times, and other useless trivia knowledge, or you can search the internet for Bronco Super Bowl history. The New England Patriots and New York Giants may have the spotlight today but The Broncos are still the most important team to us.  To help get you started, I’ve included a brief synopsis of the Broncos Super Bowl history.  Read more from Predominantly Orange >>>>

2012 NFL Mock Draft: Dont’a Hightower Could Fall To Broncos - The Denver Broncos could let middle linebacker Joe Mays walk in free agency this offseason, leaving the Broncos with a question mark at the position. The team did draft Nate Irving last season, but his rookie season didn’t show much. The answer could lie in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In DraftTek’s latest mock draft, the Broncos select Alabama’s Dont’a Hightower with the No. 25 overall pick.  Read more from SB Nation >>>>

Knowshon Moreno Injury Update: Broncos RB Reportedly Healing Well - Although he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype that he had coming out of college, Knowshon Moreno proved to be a valuable asset to the Denver Broncos this season, as he andWillis McGahee combined to form a quality RB duo. However, Moreno saw his season come to an end prematurely, as he injured his knee in the 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on November 13.  Read more from SB Nation >>>>

Spiritual Life: Why do people pick on Tebow? - Super Bowl Sunday worship will peak when the Patriots smite (I’m biased and hopeful here!) the New York Giants. Ever since Tom Brady’s posse took out the Denver Broncos, the spotlight is no longer on quarterback Tim Tebow. Yet he’s still drawing heat.  Read more from The Patriot Ledger >>>>

Quite a busy life, with faith at center - Professional football and Christianity have become closely associated with one another in recent years. Witness this season’s phenomenon of Tim Tebow.  Read more from The Indianapolis Star >>>>

Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Wednesday Edition)

Back in the saddle again with Broncos headlines.

NFL.com examines the NFL’s best cornerbacks of the past decade, and of course, the list isn’t complete without a certain No. 24.

ESPN AFC West blogger Bill Williamson has a question: Which divisional rookie will have the best season in 2011?

Also on ESPN, a recap of Tuesday’s NFL labor talks.

On the subject of lockouts, first the NFL and now the NBA, but are there any lockouts we would be better off with?  According to an Associated Press article in The Denver Post, the answer is an emphatic YES.

Minneapolis Star Tribune has the latest New York Times bestsellers list.  Tim Tebow is still in the top ten among nonfiction works.

Former Bronco Billy Hardee has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Arizona.  The Ledger (Florida) has the story.  Hardee was assistant principal at a Florida high school.

Not Broncos related, but I hope this story is just a bunch of hot air.  Three words: Brett Favre Comeback?  Indianapolis Star has the latest chapter in the saga that will never end.
