Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Tuesday Edition)
Bannan ‘Looking Forward to Winning’ - Justin Bannan is back as a Bronco, and he couldn’t be happier. “It feels great,” he said. “It’s good to get back out there. It’s weird, it’s kind of like déjà vu to be back out there on the practice field running around. I couldn’t be more excited and driven to have a great year.” A 16-game starter for the Broncos in 2010, Bannan made 35 tackles along with one sack, four pass breakups and a forced fumble in orange and blue. That season, however, the Broncos went 4-12. The following season, Bannan joined the St. Louis Rams. He made 32 tackles for the Rams in 15 games played with 14 starts in 2011. But St. Louis went 2-14. After being accustomed to winning with the Baltimore Ravens for four seasons, the defensive tackle said he’s excited to rejoin a team that has high aspirations. The same reason many of us would love to see the New Orleans Saints or New York Jets on the program is the same reason why we wouldn’t necessarily want to watch the St. Louis Rams or Arizona Cardinals. The Broncos signed possibly the biggest free agent in NFL history when they were able to acquire Peyton Manning after starting off as distant afterthoughts in the “Manning race.” In the process of signing Manning, they were also able to sign Super Bowl XLIV hero Tracy Porter to replace incumbent starting cornerback Andre Goodman. Denver Broncos Greatest Defensive Plays: #5 - As I sorted out my top Denver Broncos defensive plays it was rather easy at first, until I got to the fifth and final spot. My efforts were severely hampered by a lack of video of some of the plays I had on my short list. I figured, heck with it, I’ll just pick my favorite defensive play from last season. The play itself was significant within the game and it was an impressive individual effort by none other than the 2011 Rookie of the Year,Von Miller. Read more from Bronco Talk >>>>
