Denver Dailies: Broncos Roundup (Saturday Edition)

Broncos’ Brock Osweiler looking like backup plan at quarterback - Q: Are there any sort of risks if the Broncos make (Brock) Osweiler the backup QB?  A: Bill, if he can perform well in the upcoming preseason games, Osweiler is on track to be the Broncos’ No. 2 quarterback.  The Broncos selected the 21-year-old — he’ll turn 22 in November — in the second round of the April draft. Peyton Manning already has memorable history playing in Denver - If he’s nervous, it’s only because for all his robotic passing proficiency, Peyton Manning is human.  If he is excited, he will hardly be the only one.  If he’s scared, it will be a first.  History suggests Manning has never been afraid of playing at the Broncos’ stadium that is now called Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
