Tim Tebow may be the newest face of Jockey, but he won’t be the face of Madden 12.
The uber-popular quarterback was soundly defeated by Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles in first round voting of SportsNation’s Madden 12 cover contest. Â While Tebow is among the most visible players in the league – maybe all of North American sport – he was the underdog 11-seed. Â Final results show the matchup wasn’t even close.

Charles: 64% (273,799 votes)
Tebow: 36% (154,012 votes)
Charles now faces Jacksonville’s Maurice Jones-Drew in a second-round running back showdown.
This minor “setback” aside, life is still good for Tebow. Â His Jockey ad campaign begins this week. Â His autobiography will be released May 24 (you can pre-order now on Amazon). Â He was the recent guest of honor at the home opener of the AFL’s Orlando Predators, and he may be the Broncos’ starting quarterback come Week 1.
