Rob Chudzinski has officially been hired as the new Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns. It’s also rumored that he’s also bringing in Norv Turner as the Offensive Coordinator.
Chudzinski was a Browns Offensive Coordinator in 2004 under Butch Davis, but was fired along with the rest of the Davis’ regime. The 44-year-old was most recently the Offensive Coordinator under Ron Rivera for the Carolina Panthers who had a record of 7-9 this season.
Browns fans have high hopes for Chudzinski, who is the sixth full-time head coach for the Browns since being refranchised in 1999. He was a Tight End at the University of Miami and has worked with some big names, including LaDainian Tomlinson and Kellen Winslow Jr.
With Chudzinski comes Norv Turner, the former Head Coach of the San Diego Chargers who were also 7-9 on the season. I’m sure there will be more to come out of Berea in the coming days. The Browns will hold a news conference Friday. I’m sure we’ll learn everything we need to know.
