The 2013 McDonald’s All-American teams were announced on Thursday and five Duke recruits were named for the teams. The All-American Game will be played on April 3rd.
Two Blue Devil recruits are on the Boys West team: guard Matt Jones of DeSoto High School and forward Jabari Parker of Simeon Career Academy. Both figure to slide into the roles of seniors Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly when they graduate Duke in May.
Looking at the rest of the ACC, North Carolina has two recruits, while NC State has one. However Kentucky was the big winner, as they have a record five All-Americans.
On the women’s side, the Blue Devils have three recruits on the Girls West team: guard Rebecca Greenwell of Owensboro, forward Oderah Chidom of Bishop O’Dowd, and center Kendall Cooper of St. Anthony. These three will bolster a Duke roster that always seems to be a little thin. Especially considering the Blue Devils only lose Allison Vernerey to graduation after this season.
Looking at the rest of the ACC, UNC also has three recruits. Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Florida State each have one recruit in the All-American Game.
Looks like the ACC is going to be dominant for years to come!
*But the adidas uiforms once again are a little hard too look at, though the West isn’t too bad (the red uniforms). What do you think?
