Duke Lacrosse Loses in NCAA Semifinals

The Duke men’s lacrosse team lost in the NCAA Semifinals to ACC foe Maryland, 16-10 on Saturday. Maryland out-scored Duke 6-3 in the final quarter to pick up the victory.

The Blue Devils were held scoreless over the first 13:30 minutes of the game.

Justin Turri led Duke with two goals and an assist. He finished his career with 29 points in the NCAA Tournament. Robert Rotanz also scored two goals to up his total to 40 (which is a Duke record for a midfielder). Eight different Blue Devils scored.

For Maryland, Drew Snider had four goals, while Kevin Cooper scored a goal and dished out four assists.

Maryland will face Loyola in the Lacrosse Title game on Monday. It will be the Terrapins second straight trip to the final.
