Williams Will Play for Duke

Duke freshman center Elizabeth Williams has a stress fracture in her right lower leg, but will continue to play. She was selected as ESPN.com’s Rookie of the Year.

No word on how the injury occurred or how long she’s actually been playing with it. She will rest her leg when Duke’s season is over.

The Blue Devils open up their run in the Women’s NCAA Tournament on Sunday night against Samford on ESPN2.

*Sophomore Richa Jackson had successful ACL surgery today. Good luck with your recovery!

**In other ACC/NCAA Tournament news, Miami left one of their best players home, Riquna Williams (16 points per game). She did not make the trip to Spokane to play Idaho State on Saturday. Coach Katie Meier stated conduct detrimental to the team. Williams is a big piece to lose.
