Duke started up their suspended game down 6-5 in the bottom of the 10th inning. Wake Forest closer Michael Dimock retook the mound and stranded runners at second and third base to earn the victory.
The Blue Devils came out and took the final game of the series 10-2. Duke starter Marcus Stroman shined as he pitched eight innings while striking out 11. Stroman allowed just one run on three hits. It was his longest outing of the season while he matched his career-high in strikeouts.
In his final home game of his career, Dennis O’Grady went 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Jordan Betts and David Perkins contributed two hits and three RBIs each for the Blue Devils.
*Duke heads to the Citadel for a game on Tuesday and end their season in Miami over the weekend.
