I have been watching the Mets since I was a little kid. People always asked me why I was a Mets fan, and not a fan of the big bad Yankees. My answer: it’s just the way I was raised. That, and I must be a glutton for pain.
My prior sports writing experience has been with NL East Chatter, where I wrote daily recaps of all the day’s NL East games, as well as “What’s on Tap,” a daily preview of all the day’s match-ups.

I was born and raised in New York, and have been bleeding orange and blue since birth. After watching so many Mets games, I converted my dad from the dark side that is the Yankees, despite his being born in the Bronx and had been a Yankee fan for 50 years.I graduated from Indiana University with a finance degree in 2011, but sports has always been my passion, with the Mets being my #1 team. I started writing two years ago on my personal blog, metsvibe.wordpress.com, and I spend most of my time now writing and analyzing sports.

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a Mets fan? Just think of April Fools day. Every April the anticipation of a great year builds, and then just like that, it’s like the team yells to its fans, “April Fools! Gotcha again.” But year in and year out, Mets fans recuperate from the past year’s debacle and hope builds, and as the saying goes, “Ya gotta believe!”
Thinking of April Fools day led me to the title Curious Case of Sidd Finch. If you have never heard of this hoax, Google it.
Curious Case of Sidd Finch is a site dedicated to the New York Mets and is part of the Aerys Sports network. The site will feature all things Mets, including the latest news, game notes and analysis.
