Cubs live game thread: Now we see the violence inherent in the system

Remember that piece I wrote earlier today about how Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo are both in terrible terrible slumps? The one where Dale dropped Castro to 8th and talked about how he didn’t deserve to hit any higher than that?  Let’s take a look at tonight’s Chicago Cubs lineup, shall we?

Starlin Castro (yes, THAT Starlin Castro)
Anthony Rizzo (yep, the very same)
Junior Lake

Whether or not you agree with the lineup, you have to admit that,  just YESTERDAY, Dale gave quite a soliloquy on why Castro didn’t deserve to hit above 8th. In other news. I fucking quit trying to figure out what’s going on with this team.

Jake Arrieta v. Russ Ohlendorf. First pitch at 7:05 pm CT on WGN.

    Wow Julie!
I don’t know if I’ve seen such language from you.
This team has you on a sharp edge.
But keep up the good(hysterical) work, girl.
And Doc, keep up those great(hysterical) counterposts.
    And for what it’s worth…

Let’s start a crowdfunder for the “bean Puig Fine,” just in case any of the Cubs pitchers pull a Nuke La Loosh….

Dale basically pulls random names out of his left nostril to make the lineups everyday, from what I can tell.

I think he throws darts at names.

And Rizzo homers in the number two spot.

um…this game isn’t going very well.

I’m guessing the pitcher will be batting leadoff tomorrow.
