I am still feeling a bit ill but didn’t want to beg my dad to put in more overtime this week, so this is what you get from me tonight:
-David Price lasted 5 and 2/3 inning. No, that’s not quite as long an outing as we usually hope for, but it’s progress from his last start against Boston. Phew.
-The Rays have scored 6 runs so far and have only given up 2. Hallelujah. The Rays haven’t scored 6 runs or more since Game 2 on April 7 when they beat the Yankees 8-6.
-I don’t want to rehash last night’s loss in Toronto, but you can read one over at DRaysBay. The erupting volcano photo attached to the recap pretty much sums up the 7-3 loss to the Blue Jays.
-I like reading things that make me laugh when I’m not feeling 100% so I have to thank Rays Index for pointing out that The Onion did a piece about Joe Maddon. I kinda like the sound of “thwartstop.”
That’s all for now, folks. I better not have jinxed this game.
