-How do I know when a game is on too late? I catch snippets of the live action while out at a bar on Friday night. These trips to the west coast are killer on us fans from the east coast. -We’re just over 72 hours away from the non-waiver trade deadline, so of course James Shields’ name is coming up again. Shields said recently:

“I think the first couple of years it was distracting to see other guys talked about, your teammates, your friends leaving, things like that. But this is my 12th year of pro ball, Minor Leagues and Major Leagues. I’ve seen people get released in the morning during Spring Training to getting traded in the middle of the year, traded in the offseason, so I didn’t even get to say good-bye.”

-Matt Moore will take the mound at 9:05pm tonight as Tampa Bay continues their three-game series against the Angels. LA will send C.J. Wilson to the hill.
