I have a good friend who owns a cat named Boss. Now we both have cats that share their names with baseball players.

Torsten Boss was drafted just this past year and signed quickly. He spent some time in Aberdeen and Frederick in 2012, but he’ll likely be starting 2013 in Delmarva. Currently a third baseman by trade, BA states that scouts “question whether he has a true defensive home” and points out that he could end up as a utility guy. He “doesn’t have any standout tools, but he also doesn’t have any glaring weaknesses” – and those are often the players that end up making a difference in the long run.

For somebody who was drafted less than a year ago, there’s an awful lot of scouting video out there of Boss already.
