We here at C-ing Red are pleased to see that a Reds fan among the 50 finalist for the 2012 MLB FanCave, and secretly even more pleased that this Reds fan is a woman, Daytonite Emily Szink. You can watch her audition and vote for her, here.

The video is well-produced, cute, and funny. Ms. Szink has great camera presence, and seems very excited about the prospect of being a Fan Cave contestant.

We don’t know a lot else about her, other than she won the Dayton CW Star competition last year, but at least she’ll be ready for the FanCave’s new reality show format. I have to say, though, it’s a good sign from my perspective that she hasn’t posted a picture of herself in skimpy hot pants and a rival team’s hat, like one of the A’s fan contestants. (Baseball fans: clothes or team loyalty, pick at least one).

In any case, we’re confident that she’ll do all of us Reds fans proud in the cave, so vote early and vote often!
