He doesn’t want to go on the cart. He’s feeling better now and he thinks he’ll go for a walk.
Actually, it’s kind of hard to imagine him going for a walk anytime soon, considering that he’s been shut down now that his back hasn’t stopped acting up. According to MLB.com, he’s taken some “trigger injections” and there are plans for him to have an MRI on Saturday. Although he himself says that he’s not as bad as he was last year, since Roberts only played in 59 games total last year, this is cause for concern. We’ll have to play the waiting game on this one to see if he’ll be ready for Opening Day, but this is certainly cause for concern.
Until then, we’ll have to see if Buck decides to hit him with a shovel and throw him on the cart anyway.
