Everyone assumed the 2013 schedule would be released at 8:01 am EST this morning when the players finished their vote. We all should’ve known better. Over fourteen hours later we can finally say the words we’ve been longing to for months…

THE LOCKOUT IS OFFICIALLY OVER!

And with that, we FINALLY get an official schedule. It’s like Christmas in January instead of June. Why June? Well that is when the schedule is usually released. If you want a good laugh, here was what I wrote almost seven months ago when the original 2012-13 schedule released.

Today we get to live that day again as I give to you the 2013 NHL season schedule.

As expected, the NHL and PA are going to take this ridiculousness as long as possible. I mean knowing these two sides, is it any surprise that they can’t release the PA voting and things still aren’t official as of noon today? No, unfortunately it’s not.

That said, the schedule is expected to be released today. Assuming these two sides get their act together and it is, I’ll post it as soon as it’s available.
