Well boys…I’m not going to lie. I was really worried about this game. We always have trouble with the Minnesota Twins (no matter how bad they suck) for some reason and you guys have been less than stellar lately.
I was actually kind of scared to watch with Oswalt on the mound. After his last start against the White Sox where he gave up 9 runs and we ended up losing 19-2, I was not confident in his abilitites to say the very least.
Like all games have been going for the Rangers lately, they gave up some runs and decided that no one on the team could hit the ball until the very end of the game. The Rangers did make it interesting though.
In the bottom of the 9th, and down 3-0, the boys decided they weren’t done and got 3 runs to send the game to extra innings for the second straight night.
The Rangers looked like they were getting something going in the bottom of the 11th but ended up leaving the bases loaded. Bummer.
But in the bottom of the 13th with the bases loaded again…Kinsler (that’s my boy!) came through with a walk off single to left field. Rangers win!!!
It took them awhile to get going but I don’t care how you get there…let’s just get some more W’s in the bag!!!
FINAL: Rangers 4 , Twins 3
END OF GAME NOTES
- Lightning struck close to the park in the top of the fourth and watching the players scatter was hilarious. Watching Napoli haul ass to the bench made my day. End of story.
- I really like Joe Mauer for some reason. Maybe because he does a really good job in his commercials.
- 40 million inning games really don’t make work fun for me the next day. I’m just saying.
