Rangers Add Catching Depth, Sign Koyie Hill

Rangers announced they have signed another former Cub, 33 year-old Koyie Hill, this time to a minor league deal. He will be assigned to Triple-A Round Rock.  Hill has played in only 11 games and had only 39 plate appearances this season. For his nine year career, his slash line is .210/ .271/ .565.

This really is nothing more than organizational depth, and hey it’s another Cub.

I wouldn’t really call Koyie Hill “depth.” As a Cubs fan, I can attest that he is really, truly awful.
