Stacey Gotsulias was born in New York City. This is her first time covering the National Basketball Association but she’s been watching Knicks games since she was a little girl in Inwood. Her parents used to attend games in the late 60s/early 70s and still talk about those Knicks teams with a gleam in their eyes. In fact, in the early to mid 90s when Phil Jackson, then coach of the Chicago Bulls, used to complain about how physical the Knicks were, her mother would say, “Oh please, he was an animal when he played.” Stacey still twitches when she thinks about Charles Smith’s missed lay ups against the Bulls in 1993.
