Balking About Charities on Aerys Sports

I like to take some time every now and then and cruise through all the sites on Aerys Sports (and there are a lot of them). I have been noticing a reoccurring theme as I read through all the MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA teams. Charity! There are multiple posts about teams raising money for disaster relief in Japan and activities dedicated to raise awareness for cancer. You will read about events that teams are hosting and you will read about how some of the Aerys own correspondents are taking the reigns and raising money themselves.

Hey, I made it easy! I have listed all the posts here for you! Go ahead and read! Especially Steph’s Charm City Yakyuu post “Help Me Help Japan”. She uses her amazing artistic abilities to create drawings to raise donations for Red Cross.

Charm City Yakyuu: Help Me Help Japan

Orioles correspondent, Steph Diorio, will be taking art requests for a $5 donation. The money will go to the Red Cross. I have requested a drawing that incorporates one of Balk About It’s mascots…sharktopus. (The other mascot has to be a robot dinosaur for Sarah.)

Lakeside Seats: Gasol Plays For A Purpose

Pau Gasol and Magic Johnson will be donating $1,000 to Direct Relief International’s Japanese Recovery Fund for every point that Gasol scores at Sunday’s game. Lakeside Seat’s writer, Sabrina, will be donating $1 for each point he scores! Join in and help raise some money!

You’re My Boys, Blues: Race With The Blues

St. Louis Blues correspondent, Ann, will be joining the hockey team’s Susan G Komen Race for the Cure team!

The Ravine Report: Playing in Their Memory

Los Angeles Dodgers correspondent, Clare, writes about the Dodgers and Diamondbacks playing a benefit game in Tucson to honor the victims of the January 8th Tucson shootings.

Fenway is the…Essence of Baseball: Red Sox Raise Money for Japan

Red Sox correspondent, Cee Angi, writes about players out collecting money before a spring training game. Her article literally gave me goosebumps!

The Royal Puck: LA Kings to Celebrate St Patrick’s Day for Charity

LA Kings correspondent, Danielle Parenteau, writes about the charity event the Kings hosted to raise money for Kings Care and disaster relief in Japan.

The Blonde Ranger: Going To Bat Against Breast Cancer

Texas Rangers correspondent, Jayme Lamm, tells us all about the MLB Honorary Bat Girl Contest! Read up and sign up!

Sons of Andreychuk: Hair Today

Tampa Bay Lightning correspondent, Alexis Boucher, posted about the Lightening’s Cute for a Cure event they are hosting.
