Before we get too far into the second half of the season, let’s take this opportunity to look at two men this Friday. Mets third baseman David Wright will represent the National League and starting Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander is up for the American League.

Yes, we know Verlander had a terrible All-Star outing but luckily for him, Designated Hotter isn’t based on stats. We’ll lead off with David Wright since the National League got to a quick start against the American League and never slowed down in their 8-0 win.
