Allow the Game of Thrones jokes to start: The Isles have signed the kid with the great name, defenseman Griffin Reinhart, to a three-year entry level contract.
Reinhart was selected fourth overall at this year’s Entry Draft in Pittsburgh. The 6-foot-4 blueliner is a native of British Columbia, played with the Edmonton Oil Kings last season (and led his team’s D in goals), and recently became a fan of 90210. (No, seriously, check his Twitter.)
This is potentially exciting news from the Isles’ front (only potential, seeing that, as Islanders Point Blank stresses, it doesn’t mean Reinhart will necessarily join the team — it all depends on training camp). Congratulations and best of luck to Griffin!
