The Cleveland Browns training camp 2013, aka Camp Chud, is underway and ALL the rookies are in camp! Yes that’s right, we don’t have any contract holdouts this year.
This is good news for all Browns fans because it means that no rookies have any reason to not be fantastic and know the offense or defense like the back of their hand come September 8th.
The Browns announced Sunday night that the final rookie had signed a contract. LB Barkevious Mingo, the Browns Number One draft pick, signed a 4-year contract with a fifth year option. It’s rumored to be $18 million, but that’s currently just a rumor.
On Friday, the Browns announced that they had signed DL Armonty Bryant and DB Leon McFadden, both to four-year contracts. Lets hope getting these guys into camp on time will help the Browns actually do something on the field. They don’t need to focus on the contracts anymore, so now the focus should be on football. And trying to win some games. And maybe even trying to have a winning record. Yea, a winning record. That would be nice.
